Dance gets out of the theatres to shout out a universal message that breaks down all boundaries, whether physical or mental. Right in the middle of Piazza Transalpina, the square where the Wall that divided the Italian city of Gorizia from its Slovenian counterpart Nova Goriza once stood (and now a place of encounter for these two countries), Compagnia Arearea gives life to a captivating and highly-symbolic performative game. A key moment to involve the audience and reaffirm the spirit of inclusivity of our festival. Face to face, as if looking out from a balcony, looking at each other, understanding each other, listening to each other. Mirroring forms and compensations, linguistic fusions, improvisation and site-specific actions will give us back the joy of being together, in unison.
