Have you been to Gorizia before?
We live and create in Nova Gorica, so we are closely connected to Gorizia. We are very much look-ing forward to Nova Gorica together with Gorizia becoming the European Capital of Culture in 2025 and looking forward to more cultural events that would connect our cities even more. The dance performances are great examples since there is no language barrier.

What awaits you after Visavì?
After Visavi we are touring with the performance DE-SET that is a joint effort between us and mu-sic duo Silence. We are also looking forward to our performance of Icarus in Cankarjev Dom in Ljubljana. And of course, always creating and inventing new body movements.

You have the power to do one thing to change the world of dance: what is it?
To erase the boundaries and borders and lift up the best in people.

If you could give one piece of advice to yourself as a child, what would it be?
Michal: Fly high and if you fall low it is all fine, pick yourself up and do it again.
Nastja: Just follow your instinct and dreams. Dance every second.. :)

And to a new dance company moving its first steps?
It's not easy as it seems, but it's the best feeling you can get, to dance and to tell your own stories through movement.

Life. Communication. Freedom.

Tell me what your show is about in a simple way.
The concept for our performance is inspired by the Greek myth Icarus and we are placing it in now-adays life. Icarus's story fills us with the question: is Icarus a hero or a reckless one? Opinions on this have always been divided. The struggle between mind and heart is beating inside us. Some have seen above all the fall, while others mainly flight - depending on the view. From an early age, we learn to stick to certain rules that contribute to our survival and the existence of the social system. No, we should stand out and not fall below the average. Icarus, however, is the embodiment of hu-man aspiration, he would cross the boundaries of the possible, discover new possibilities, venture in-to the unknown, discover new dimensions. Creative souls easily identify with the inspiring character of Icarus.
In the performance, there are involved ten dancers coming from Slovenia, Italy, Japan, Korea, Netherlands, and Romania. The movement vocabulary is complex and we are always searching for new ways in which the bodies can move.
